Overview:

The KDN-7A Koldunya was designed in 3026 as a Federated Commonwealth response to growing numbers of Malleus 'Mechs in Kurita assault forces.   Considered by many to be a triumph of the 'Mech designer's art, the Koldunya mounts a fair array of weaponry, although both short and long range missile racks suffer somewhat from the lack of reloads.   The Koldunya is generally employed in a defensive rôle for this reason, though it has been used successfully as the spearhead unit in rapid assaults.

Capabilities:

Tactics: Work the damage curve carefully.   Anywhere within 150 metres is a bad place to be for the enemy, but even outside that range it's a bad idea to ignore the LRMs.

The SRM 2-rack is generally used for special purpose loads, such as inferno rounds or fire-fighting foam.

Keep a close eye on the heat; while it's quite easy to overheat a Koldunya, careful management can make it into a real terror.
