The news talks about a “downtown zombie plague” – it seems that people were being randomly violent, lurching around and biting people, and took a lot of bullets to take down. The police are blaming it on a new drug known as “Plant Food”. With a bit more checking, it seems that it was only about four people.
Jade puts on her reporter garb and visits the morgue, asking the receptionist whether there’s someone she can talk to for more information. The receptionist gets a PR person, who tries to be reassuring, but they both seem a little “off”; they’re clearly concealing something, particularly when it comes to the possibility of seeing the bodies, but Jade is calming and doesn’t push it.
Natasha scries for that PR person. He’s having an argument with someone, trying to get them to admit they lost the bodies (“it’s happened before, we’ve got procedures for that”).
Jesus is pretty sure that while “Plant Food” might be the name of a drug, it’s certainly not anything he’s heard of being sold in the area.
