1 February 2016 (strange things at sunset)
Bessie spends the evening with Gertrude and her sons. Audrey spends time looking into the Viscount (a recent peerage, 1874; the original Viscount is known in particular for his reforms of the Army in the 1860s-1870s; the successors have been less notable, and the present Viscount is his great-grandson; of the current generation, only the two brothers survive, with another having died in the War and several more in infancy, though the current Viscount has children). There aren’t any obvious reports of cinema-related deaths in the papers, though a gossip piece speculates about several young women who are claiming to be “unwell” during major social events, which clearly implies that something more interesting in happening.
