The next morning, there are plenty of gawkers; it seems that the R101 has been twisted in its central section, and is now rather shorter and with a wasp-waist that definitely won’t take the loads of flight. Given that the departure tomorrow evening can’t be postponed, the only thing to do is to get the R100 out of storage and recall her crew. The shine on the hangar is significantly weaker by now.
