2 August 2017 (following Peters, and into the cellar)

Gertrude makes a note of the features of the plant (her sketch isn’t up to much). When Milly gets back with Lily Preston, the latter confirms that the hedges round Peters’ garden have grown up over the five years or so since she moved in.
The team trades off observation of the road, but they aren’t very good at it; they don’t notice Peters coming home, but about 6pm his garage door opens, and he drives out, closes the door, the drives away. He gets back about two hours later.
Gertrude talks Preston into letting the team camp out in her front room.
